Rural Albertans want next premier to focus on roads, market access

Alberta is struggling to cope with the demands of a booming economy and rural leaders say the men vying to become the next premier need to focus on roads, bridges and supports for the one in five Albertans who live outside a major city.

Polls shows Tory leadership candidates are barely on the radar in rural Alberta: a recent Leger poll indicated 38 per cent there say it doesn’t matter who wins.
