Praxair completes liquefaction upgrades at Alberta plants

DANBURY, Conn. – Praxair, Inc. has completed upgrades to its air separation liquefaction capabilities in Fort Saskatchewan and Prentiss, Alberta.

The industrial gas company has also completed the construction of carbon dioxide and liquid nitrogen distribution and storage facilities in Grade Prairie, Alta. and Dawson Creek, BC.

Praxair says the plant upgrades and new facilities and equipment are part of its growth strategy in western Canada’s oil and gas market, where it also operates more than 50 kilometres of pipelines in the Edmonton – Fort Saskatchewan corridor.

Praxair, Inc. produces and distributes atmospheric, process and specialty gases, and surface coatings for the aerospace, chemicals, electronics, energy, manufacturing and metals sectors.
